Heck of a story. The car's certainly earned it.
Let the crank pulley go. My was squealing for three years.
Next time you don't have cooling fans, either short the thermoswitch contacts or jump together the AC pressure switch contacts (assumes the AC's dead too, come on) and turn on the AC switch.
I don't think there is a fast and painless way for a car to go. Even with transmission lock-ups or connecting rods through the block they still get to be picked to pieces at wrecking yards.
Part it out! Sounds like you've got lots of collision-area parts that haven't been broken. Or you can take a trip to NYC and park it unlocked with no valuables inside, then it's kind of like full-service parts removal. Yeeech.
