Can engine shudder "trick" the knock sensor?

Well, I still have the same stupid lack of power problem on the SPG with the anoying shudder in 3rd through 5th (sometimes 2nd in low rpms). Checked all hoses and vacuum lines, APC system checked out, new BPV ect...
On a recent trip to Tyler from San Antonio (nearly 400 miles one way), the problem went away completely about 300 miles into the trip. It started again about a 100 miles later while returning to San Antonio. I installed a new front mount, but I still need to replace the side mount. Can the vibration be caused by the bad side mounts, thus shaking the motor enough to trigger (trick) the knock sensor?
The vibration starts, and at that point I can hear a slight flutter (waste gate?) then I get loss of power. The boost gauge holds for a second, then drops. Also, sometimes after at least a 2 hour cool down time, the car will run great on the first take off (1st-5th, then stop). It all begins after I come to a stop, then go again.:/
Also, the cruise does not work on this car. Could have anything to do with it? Also the cruise control unit is hanging loose under the dash, so someone in past has already screwed with it. The vacuum switch under the hood has also been tampered with. The brake switch is also ok.
I have less than a week to get this thing running right, or Im going to have a miserable 1500 mile trip.
Help is greatly appreciated.
