From all I had heard in the past, it was mainly directed toward pitting in the cylinder head and the cylinder walls would eventually develop the ring lip at the top. Main cause from what I heard was not servicing the cooling system enough, thats why I flushed it completely every 30k and used the Mercedes coolant. Maybe, just maybe it was that bad for the last 100k? I highly doubt it...
Going to go with a 2.0 now, rebuilding it top to bottom...Just need to decide NA or Turbo...
