I removed my OP sensor to get at the cooler lines -- I thought that a 15/16 or 1" worked on it as I did not have the correct socket in MM. It made some marks on the hex, but not anything serious. There is a gasket -- during the time I was taking it in and out, I must have tightened it too much as the gasket now is trapped on the sensor, so be careful. I would replace it though -- not an expensive item as I recall. Good luck!
