now, my saab has towed several other vehicles, but i have broken down one way or another countless times, and, like vvack says, a couple of minutes with the 'ol leatherman (they should come standard!) and we are good to go. didn't look at the survey, but wasn't asked by them either! so, the transmissions don't last forever, those rubber couplings are a bit of a disaster, headliners??? seat bottoms, aic's and apc solenoids need some regular cleaning/lubing, etc.... BUT, my 92 900t with 240k on it has the original (i think) wheel bearings, and my mother-in-law had to replace all 4 on her 01 focus (whats that about???), not to mention ignition lock that left her stranded in seattle, central locking that blows fuses every week, and a coil spring rusted through and broke! the first time she drove the saab, a deer pulled out in front of her at 60, so she stopped, no drama. i'm sure no one on this board is surprised by that, because you all drive saabs! she was surprised, because she drives a ford! i have had timing belts go-lots of them! (no chains-yet!), prop shafts fail, the list is just too long of failures that left me stranded, but NEVER a saab.
i feel sorry for anyone that hasn't had the pleasure of taking a curve at 80 and feeding in the power(of the turbo) to exit in a solid 900 (pre GM!)-they havn't lived!. not the fastest car in the world, but good enough for me! not many cars come close to looking as good, either (imho).
could go on all night-kind of got my blood boiling now-time to find a beer....
