If its E10 in the tank without stabilizer and its been sitting relatively still for 5 years, there is the possibility that the gas and ethanol have separated. So I'd get as much out as possible, then refill with fresh gas. Might what to change the gas filter after a tank or two. With 500 miles on a rebuild, its most likely as broken in as its going to get, assuming a competent rebuild. But I still take it easy for a another 500 or so.
