Just finished getting the power antenna up and working.
i cant read wiring diagrams for the life of me...
the car has the stock cassette/EQ connected with the 8 pin SAT type cable (coax?).
I'm ditching both components and have two Boxing Day CD specials to choose from, just confused about their differing wiring harnesses:
Factory wiring to cassette deck:
Gray (connects to red labeled Permanent Power)
Green (connects to blue/white labelled Aut. Ant.)
black (connects to black)
white/brown (connects to Yellow not labeled)
Red (to solid blue)
harness 1 from Panasonic with MP3 and WMA: besides speaker wires,
yellow
black
red
wh/brown (manual says for dual CD changer)
solid blue (manual calls this 'Antenna control lead' and says 'this lead not intended for use with switch activated power antenna')
blue/white (manual says for ext. amp)
should i use the wh/bn, blue/wh or the solid blue for the antenna?
Harness 2, simple panasonic CD deck (no manual):
2 yellows reduced to 1 yellow after a 15A fuse
1 red
1 solid blue
2 blacks reduced to 1
thanks for any clarification you can provide.
