MARYLAND?!?
It's four degrees in Albany right now (NY, not OR). You've got seat heaters, a good cabin heater, and (50% chance for '91) even the bypass valve. What happened, did it get down below freezing last night? Do you own a winter jacket? Does your 900 have an 82 degree thermostat in it? Is it stuck open? Is the bypass valve failed at full bypass? Is your heater control rod hooked up?
See my gallery for how to install a block heater if you're really crazy about it. It's not enough to open the thermostat (why waste electricity heating your coolant when an opened thermostat will bleed it all away via the radiator) but it is just enough so I have heat in the cabin at the end of the street, probably half a mile in.
A remote start on a manual will allow you to waste gasoline just like the automatics and will crank your car backwards however far down the street until it hits something or goes into a ditch. Bundle up, give yourself a week or so for your blood to congeal, or stick in the block heater. I don't use mine unless the temperature overnight is below 25 or so.
I'm not trying to be a pain or rip on you or anything, but (further comments suppressed).
