It takes the registry awhile to put your spg on the list. I think at least 6 months for them to put mine up there. I don't even own the car anymore and im still up there.
1987-on turbos are oil cooled so they last longer and perform better over a longer period of time. I think you do have to change oil every 3-5k just to be safe.
I don't know too much about the thermostats but yours sounds like it could be stuck but that is just a guess.
