I've optimized them with Hawk HP plus pads and slotted rotors, etc., but they suck compared to my 84 900T system.

If I were going to the trouble of upgrading/changing out brakes I'd bite the bullet and find a crapped out 1988 or newer saab and buy the whole car for $500...bad engine or bad trans, they're all over. Swap out the front axles, etc., and rear axle and get great brakes plus bonus of putting on bigger rims/tires.

That's if you really like your 85.

OTOH, I've used Europarts rebuilds and they last about three years before clunking...
