I'm now doing the Turbo swap with a '93 s model and an '89 SPG donor using the 2.0 turbo motor. Hasn't been really that bad except for the electronics side of it. The APC was simple enough to do. And all of the mechanicals have been swapped, ie. oil cooler, inter-cooler, instruments ect. ect..
Finally decided (Thanks Justin) to dump the EZK ignition and go with the conventional ignition from the '89. The ECU wiring harness is getting switched now so I can run the turbo 2.4 ECU. The only thing that's confusing me at this point is what to with the a/c wiring at the H6-2 connector. The schematics for the '89's a/c is so different than the '93's.
Once I get the a/c figured out it'll be a decent swap. Anyone got a clue on the a/c issue?
