I use mobil 1 5W-40 turbo diesel truck motor oil and change every 5k miles. I used mobil oil filters for years but stopped by the dealer and bought an oem filter the last time.

I use amosil series 2000 20W50 in the manual tranny. That stuff is very good for pinion bearings.
