the "Anti-Lock" and "Brake Fluid" lights both come on when I start the car. 95% of the time "Brake Fluid" light goes off after 10 seconds. 10% of the time "Anti-Lock" goes off as well, but usually stays on. This has been happening for over 2 months and my car stops just fine. I *did* have my front brakes done in April. I can't remember if the lights came on before that, but they definitely come on more frequently and stay on longer than they used to.
Is there a list of what all the lighted dash alerts are?
Nick- I had the brakes done by Mike at Atros. He claims the brakes are fine. But he also hasn't located the origin of the squealing under the hood. Of course whenever I go there it doesn't squeal. In fact, the squealing stopped short mid-screech the other day and I smelled burning (in NYC, though, hard to tell if it was my car or not) but nothing happened. A/C works fine, power steering, I saw no evidence of oil leaking, or water/coolant...... Now I haven't heard the sound again. Belts were checked. water pump was checked, not running hotter than usual. WTF?
