Thanks for the quick response. Yes, that is how I am set up. Just to clarify, I am testing with the neg cable detached from the battery. Tried all the levels on the scale, and it didn't budge. Tried wiggling the pos and neg wires, and nothing. Even turned the key to on (NOT start) with headlights turned on, and still nothing. I guess it could be the meter itself (the voltage meter though functions perfectly well), but it is only about a year old, and has not see much usage. Any ideas how I might test it with something other than the SAAB? Thanks for the help.
