when I spilled coke down mine, I just poured very hot water down the tumbler. You should disconnect the battery first. After this treatment I used compressed shop air to blow it dry. While this may seem crazy It worked for me, and was very cheap and easy. I used a turkey baster to aim said water. Best to let everything dry before reconnecting the battery.
