I was just about to start a very similar thread. I have a 91 900 SE convertible. The SE means that it has the SPG trim, although not the SPG suspension or engine mods. The current tires are a (very) old set of Michelin XGT V4 205/55-15 tires (no longer made). I like the look and have experienced no rubbing issues at all. I don't know if increasing the aspect ratio to 60 will be a problem
However, the time has come to replace these tires. As I've looked around, I've heard the general opinion that Michelin's are quite overpriced for what you get, although I've had absolutely no complaints about the performance of my tires.
The main problem is that these days 205/55 is not a very popular size in 15-inch tires and the choices are rather limited. I'm probably not going to buy a new set until the spring and I'm trying to decide whether to stick with 205/55 or go back to 195/60. If I stay with 205/55, I'll probably get Yokohama Avid V4S tires.
