Thanks much, Nashvegas...
ref: "1) How is your brake boost? Is the pedal rock hard / ie difficult to press? Or are your brakes operating normally."
For a couple of months after the ABS light started staying on, braking was apparently normal. Then out of nowhere, Brake Fluid light came/stayed on and stopping required extreme pedal pressure, This happened once or twice, but then brake fluid light would usually go off and normal pedal pressure was restored.
No obvious loss in brake fluid volume. Since replacing the accumulator, I've had the brake fluid warning light come on for more than a second or so only a few times, but I haven't experienced the same enormous loss of brake boost.
Can't tell you about test #2 yet as I don't have access to the car. I'm wondering whether my indy shop is not quite sufficiently knowledgeable about earlier C900 since as I understood from him this morning, the ECU (which is the ABS computer module, no?), is "mounted on the main brake hydraulics assembly", not under the rear PS seat cushion. Where is the connector to plug his shop computer into the onboard ABS ECU?
