I have a panel of switches I use for working on Saabs or for those times where I'm buying a car with a failed switch or lost keys... it happens frighteningly often. I will take some pictures if you need, but it's very straightforward. You just need to connect the incoming 12v (big grey wire) to the various outgoing circuits. The only special ones are the big yellow/red wire (58, IIRC) that is the starter (use a momentary push button) and the tiny red (IIRC!) which is the chime for "key in." I have an individual switch for each circuit so I can test them independently, but you may not find that necessary.
