Fuel Accumulator Removal/Replacement

My fuel accumulator on my 1986 Saab 900 8 valve non-turbo is blowing fuel right out the top. It and the nuts that hold the plastic fuel lines to it are also very rusted. Any suggested on how to remove and repair this problem would be appreciated. I have tried to remove the lines with wrenches and have not been successful. Is a dangerous situation I realize and do not want to start a fire.
