I've also been suspecting that my inner driver needs some attention, as I'm getting the typical vibration symptoms while under load in 3rd & 4th. I took the front wheels off to check for excessive play in the drive axle. I found substantially more play/noise in the passenger side axle than the driver (I realize that inner driver wears out more commonly). The noise I get sounds fairly similar to the noise I hear while very slowly coasting. Could this possibly be the cause of the trans noise/"clunking"? Is noise like this another symptom of excessively-worn inner drivers?

I took this video that attempts to capture the noise/degree of play I've got in the passenger inner driver.
