1991 was the final year for the SPG, and '91s are very scarce. So if you have to have an airbag, your best bet is to find a decent '90.
I have four C900s...an '83 Turbo, an '86 S, an '88 SPG and a '90 Turbo convertible. Each has her own personality and are incredibly fun to drive, although the S is slower than cold molasses running uphill in January from a dead stop. Of the four, two of them were saved from the crusher (the SPG and convertible) and one was saved from being abandoned in a parking lot (the S).
That being said, C900s can take a lot of abuse and come back from the dead. Parts are getting tougher to find for C900s.....inner driveshafts, distributors and 8 valve pistons are getting scarce. But the fun of driving the car outweighs some of the headaches in trying to find the pieces to put the car back together again. And, you probably won't find a tighter community of owners anywhere else in the automotive universe.
