Not too worried yet - it's all surface rust. Checked the rear shock mounts - the sooner I change the shocks, and get POR-15 on there, the better. Planning for about 3 weeks from now.
Actually - the SPG was a Virginia Saab. Bought it when I was stationed here, then thought I was moving to Cali, so my father and I made a road trip out of it. Made it all the way out there - then changed my mind. Had packed the car to return the night before I was supposed to leave - September 11th. As you can imagine, took a few more days to get back on the road.
And what happens on the way back? Having the Heater Bypass line burst 20 miles outside Kingman, AZ, on I-40, spraying coolant into the distributor cap. Didn't have Duct Tape, so had to have it towed back. They had NO idea what kind of car it was.
