Larry,
9K performance (obviously not according to EU NCAP) video is available at the link below. I mention it here in order for you to be able to convert the digits below to visual structural weakness since here we will get the results for NG and you saw NG EU NCAP performance.

Try g.Translate service to get this link in eng: http://cartest.omega.kz/crash/saab_900.html (I believe these are IIHS results since 572B Hybrid II dummies were used; 30 mph; no videos, sorry)

C900 '89 NO SRS!:
HIC value: driver - 289, passenger - 223
(must be < 1000, the less the better)
Deceleration measured at the chest:
drv - 40g, psng - 35g
(must be less then 60g, the less the better)
hip stress load:
drv - 986 (left), 1548 (right),
psngr - 1327 (left), 1840 (right)
(must be < 2250, the less the better)

NG900 '96 (SRS for both driver and passenger):
HIC value: driver - 277, passenger - 456
(must be < 1000, the less the better)
Deceleration measured at the chest:
drv - 44g, psng - 50g
(must be less then 60g, the less the better)
hip stress load:
drv - 1462 (left), 1416 (right),
psngr - 1489 (left), 1063 (right)
(must be < 2250, the less the better)

Do you still believe that NG safety performance is better then C900?

Just to make the full picture here go the results for 9K ('89, SRS for both driver and passenger):
HIC value: driver - 323, passenger - 232
(must be < 1000, the less the better)
Deceleration measured at the chest:
drv - 46g, psng - 36g
(must be less then 60g, the less the better)
hip stress load:
drv - 1235 (left), 1601 (right),
psngr - 503 (left), n/a (right) (THEY KILLED KENNY! (C) South Park)
(must be < 2250, the less the better)

To approximate/convert these values to EU NCAP results (veeeeery rough approximation since these were 100% front impacts while EUNCAP deals with 40% overlap and that's significantly much much harder to withstand; also there can be lots of penalizations e.g. for too fragile dashboard or excessive pedal unit displacement) just use coefficient value of (40/30) squared (1.333(3) ^ 2 = 1.777(7) ~ approximately 1.8).

Breakdown side by side, C900 - 9K - NG900

HIC:
Driver
289 - 323 - 277 (9K fails)
Passenger
223 - 232 - 456 (NG fails)

Deceleration measured at the chest:
drv
40 - 46 - 44g (NG fails)
psng
35 - 36 - 50g (NG fails)

hip stress load:
drv left
986 - 1235 - 1462 (NG fails)
drv right
1548 - 1601 - 1416 (9K fails)
psngr left
1327 - 503 - 1489 (NG fails)
psngr right
1840 - n/a - 1063 (NG goes better then C900, 9K unknown)

Once again, C900 had no SRS while both 9K and NG had two cushions each.

Zig

P.S.
Why didn't you said 'yes' when I asked whether I should give all these specs and links? ;)
