First of all, there two almost independent systems in what we call ABS. There are power-assisted brakes with electric pump and hydraulic accumulator and master cylinder and on the other hand there stands ABS, i.e. anti-lock system consisting of ECU, wheel sensors and valve block. So I was confused when you said you dealt with main abs socket: in my terms it should be the ABS ECU socket to be considered the main one. But nevertheless...

BU wire? BU or BU/WH? From what step of my troubleshooting it is from? I see the only BU wire - the one that runs from pin#4 of pressure switch to #87 of pump relay, you can refer to the link below to get Bentley's diagrams. Unfortunately all of the sockets I mentioned in my previous post are located right at the main hydraulic unit so it's hard to determine the right one if it only referred as 'near alternator'. It appears to you have jumped right to step #FOUR with your temp ground wire, I'm pretty confused here.

A wire can be broken if its insulation looks good. Check bends.
