ok, let's put it this way: there is a circuit consisting of several elements joined together in series. These are: G16 ground point (A), a wire running from ground to level sender (B), a pin in the level sender socket (C), level sender itself (D), another pin in that socket (E), a wire running from level sender socket to pressure sensor socket (F), a pin pressure sensor socket (G), pressure sensor itself (H), another pin in that socket again (I), wire from PS socket to pump relay (J). Ok, there's a parallel branch with a G5 ground point: G5 ground point (X), 743 BK wire (Y) and a pin in PS sensor connector.

A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H-I\

If J is grounded then it toggles pump relay on.

Not sure if this site will keep or break my diagram, but nevertheless if smth in this circuit is broken then the whole circuit doesn't work. You checked two components only and are saying that you identified the element worn out. Sorry, but I can't either agree or disagree with you on the pressure switch conclusion until you check all the components of this circuit.
