Hello everyone! I'm back in the fold 2 years after my 1989 900T gave up the ghost. I learned how to fix all kinds of things with your help on this site and put 80k miles on her over 8 years. I've been driving a Honda but despite all the good points, something's been missing.
So, I just bought a 1992 900 base with a muffler in the trunk. It has fallen off after the cat. I still have the muffler parts and would like to reuse them if possible.
I was looking at the cat to check the flanges. They are mostly ok but the flange at the end of the front pipe is completely detached from the pipe. It is still attached to the cat. I can actually spin the cat on the pipe.
I can weld a little, is that what I need to do? Attach a new flange? I would love to avoid buying too many new parts because this is just a winter car for now.
Thanks in advance and it's nice to be back!
Andy
