"KLUNK" noise followed with a trace of oil & intall fog Posted by Paul [Email] (#792) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Paul) on Wed, 13 Jan 2010 20:08:35 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hey again all!
As I mentionned a couple weeks ago....I was purchasing a '93 900S convertible from Mass and had to bring back to Canada (Montreal),was asking advise to "how to" being that Mass dont offer a temporary transit to drive it.....so what I did is from here I rented a tow-dolly from U-Haul, stuck the title onto the back glass and pulled it home..that was the 29th/dec in a storm!..had to be very vigilant but all went well...no one ask any questions....paid my duties fees at customs and all is fine....its now stored for winter in a heated garage!..SO many thanks for all the inputthat I received from you Saabers that help me out to figure it out!!
Now,my main concern is that I went to the garage today, had to move it inside, started just fine, took the had-brake off,put into drive but would'nt move..double check if it was'nt on neutral, back to park then drive....gave a little more gas and then heard a half-loud "klunk" and started moving as it should...but could'nt help noticing that a fresh spot of oil followed with a line to the new parking spot but was'nt leaking any further....smelled it but could'nt say which oil it was......
Could it be my brake line was stuck and now a hose busted?Sure hope it isnt anything serious!!
Also, wondering, this 900S model was'nt sold with the front fogs light but would like to install a pair,so I did find one with the proper wire/connection and brakets.........
So my question is does the car has the set-up wirering/brakets ready to receive??
Very exited to once again hit the road with this fine "GEM"..seems like winter will be very long this year!!....arff!!
Thanks!
