-Ask yourself how much you want to spend having the head taken off by a qualified Saab mechanic to evaluate the damage and then not proceed with the repairs if it exceeds your budget threshold.
-You already know that it needs a timing chain kit.
-You've owned it for 14 years. How much are you willing to spend on it to keep it going? $1500?, $2000?
-Then ask yourself, what kind of a unique vehicle that has provided 14 years of service can I get that will replace this gem for what I'd spend on repairing it?
Good luck with your decision and I hope you can keep it going!
