I have a 1992 S convertible. (What color is yours?)
This is ether a vacuum leak or
1. worn fuel pump check valve, usually results in more than one second of cranking the engine before it fires, or
2. failing crankshaft positon sensor behind the crank pulley.
I'm fairly certain my car has both.
Your car has no cold start valve (assuming north american build). This function is taken over by the engine management holding the injectors open longer when it knows the engine is cold to compensate for the thermal losses.
Got any check engine light codes?
