All great suggestions, thank you ! 900Aero I cannot even vizualize the pre '89 knee bolster, but I may have a sales brochure here that shows it. I am challenged to try trimming the right corner carefully, and re glueing the vinyl skin, but once I replace those two relays they will probably never have to be changed again. I asked NAPA the brand name for their $214 "exact replacement" pump, and Jamie told me "NFP". What the heck is that? I replied. NFP stands for "NAPA Fuel Pump", so it will be amusing to see what brand is stamped on it. I will update of course.
Inreresting comment regarding the clip for the privacy panel. I had no idea that was a potential glass threat, but I can now see how that's possible. Mine is now broken due to the "vandalism", but I think I will simply remove it and forget it. I so seldom use it that it would always be a threat to again trying to force down the hatch while it is in place.
I feel a little less lame now that I have all the glass cleaned out and a couple of nice black refuse bags taped in place. It's a rare week without rain here in Seattle, and I hope that holds until I can get the rear glass replaced.
While "Snert" is laid up, I am driving my sleek black V70R, but it is such a "truck" for city use.
