One tip that helped me greatly when I had to change the VR was to use, instead of a stubby screwdriver (which I didn't have), to grip the sides of the mounting screws with a small vice-grips pliers. Just mount them flush and break the screws loose, I think they were only finger tight after that (i.e., removable by hand). I don't recall installation to be that bad-- jam the VR and brushes in with one hand, start mounting screws with the other. Good luck, let us know how you fare.
