will or paraphrased to say there may be several options. I am not thinking it's a leaking heater control valve, nor the fresh air intake box you so discribed as cleaning (the drain). The A/C also has a shallow evaporator type plastic pan under the a/c core. The rubber grommet around the heater control hoses on firewall can leak as well as other firewall seals. If it was on pass side I'd say it was the air intake box. You did not say or I did not take note of the body style. If a hard top the drains for the sun roof could get clogged and possible route water down the sides of the pillars to windshield. If a vert same for front seal.
If you nail it down do a follow up, so my mind can stop wandering.
