But still not quite.
And also, even if the cable harness says NTC, it is not quite the right name for that sensor. ECT is the name our industry use and it stands for Engine Coolant Temperature. NTC is the type of sensor used and it means Negative Temperature Coefficient which means the resistance drops where after the sensor heats up.
The ECT sensor is playing a role at all times but is fairly crucial at start up, but as of yet, I have never had to replace one of those blue ECT sensors so I doubt it is bad.
The O2 sensor is not kicking in until engine has warmed up slightly and is usually not a problem with stumbling idle but could more produce a slight lag during acceleration if it is not riching up fuel mixture enough.
