its a 92 900T...sorry to have forgotten this. I think its been well maintained, but the purists who only add synthetic oils would probably laugh at it. Its kept me rolling for ~10 years and >100k.
So I will pop out the tensioner to measure...I guess I am 'scared' to do that since in my VW passat, that tensioner cannot be taken out without trashing it, installing a new one and then pulling the pin.
Ya, I know rolling in a new chain sounds great...a lot of things SOUND great while preparing for the job.
Nate86SPG suggested that I should not use a new tensioner with an old chain, so hence the new chain adventure.
