Good idea to pick up one for your model from a junkyard or some friend on here. They do fail from time to time and strand folks. Could be yours is acting up or on the way out.

Parts swapping has its virtues, you know.

Might not be a bad part, could be an intermittent fault in a wire,if one is messed up, misrouted or unsupported enough to have vibrated itself brittle. Or corrosion at a connector.

Oh, mama, could this really be the end?
To be stuck inside of Indy with those Memphis blues again?
