The first time I test drove the car in question, for about the first 3 or 4 minutes the car had a very bad hesitation coming off idle. Not just in gear. (Car is an automatic). When I got back to the shop the car wouldn't start for about 10 minutes. Sound like CPS? Customer advised and part ordered. After part arrived (Ice storm!) and listening to concern over price we decided to check plugs. After changing the You-Know-Who Platinum plugs for the NGK BCP6ES and the worn out black distributor cap and rotor for Bosch the car ran flawlessly for a half hour test drive and I couldn't get the no start to re-occur. I can assure you that I work on plenty of classic 900s. I even own two. Sometimes intermittent problems are tricky to diagnose. I still think it's probably a crank sensor. Dan at Road Tested Saabs
