Sounds to me like your turbo wasn't clocked right to begin with! There is no gasket on the exhaust turbine side so you're OK there. Somehow you're going to have to get all the turbine housing to bearing housing bolts loose enough to line up the oil outlet tube flange but remember to hold (push in) the oil tube firmly into the block so you'll line up the mating surfaces right to where the return tube should be! Then if the compressor housing's outlet isn't pointed in the right direction you'll have to loosen it's bolts to the seal plate and position it correctly but if you do have to do this there is a thin gasket in there!
