I should also note my respect for Zig also (as a fellow speaker designer) in case it might have sounded otherwise in my earlier posts...
in terms of high end source components in car audio, I wonder how the Linn system in the Aston Martins would have sounded? They have been discontinued in favour of B+O, but I suspect that has something to do with a the aesthetics/$ ratio rather than ultimate concern for audio fidelity... even Aston Martins are built to a price... ;-)
Naim has recently established a collaboration with Bentley... I've never been in a Bentley, but I suspect they are fairly quiet inside... that might be a good candidate for a high end system... probably better than an Aston Martin (should sports cars even have stereos?)... maybe in a few years, there will be a naim head unit we can slap in a c900... that would be awesome!
