didn't you just buy the NG recently? those can be pretty reliable, but I'd want to sort out any potential bugs first if possible... you probably know your c900 better as you've had it longer. we recently (several months ago) picked up a 2004 9-5 with 70k. I'm currently going over that car for a long trip we'll do 6 weeks from now because I don't want surprises... but I have 2 young children + we're going 3000 miles...
a number of years ago we burnt a valve in a c900 on vacation. luckily it happened in a good location + got it dealt with... stuff can happen totally out of the blue! we've done the rental thing for a few years (get to have a new car only when you need it + not have to pay for it + insure it when you don't - downside is limited choice + pain in the neck for hauling bikes etc)... got sick of driving cars I hated + picked up the 9-5 for touring purposes... still love the c900s around town...
