I pulled a real bonehead move by leaving my 93 900-S out all night with the sunroof open awaiting the midnight torrential storm. Found a puddle of water in the ignition switch and the battery was discharged. I let it dry out a couple days in the heat. It starts and appears to run OK (now with check engine and SRS lights on) but there is a pretty obvious short through the switch with the ignition turned off. When the battery is connected it activates a couple of the warning lights with the ignition turned off.
So the questions are how hard is it to remove the ignition switch assembly (any tips?) and is there any hope of cleaning the internals or terminals to remove the short?
