Agreed 100%. I just bought 88 3dr having only seen it in pictures. I could find no rust on the outside but after pulling the matts and pads found a small hole on the passenger side and two on driver's side. Also FOUR attempts by to jack the car up on the pan and not the jack point. If not for these failed efforts I don't think there would have been rust on the driver's side. Find one with all the pieces. Little trim items can be hard to find.
These cars clean up really well. Mine still has a good clear coat and leather but neither looked that way at first sight. Good luck and use this site it has saved me time and money.
