I have been using the same Mac Mini with OS 10.3 for I guess it's seven or more years, and the last version issued of Netscape Navigator because I was and am no fan of Microsoft products.

Lately it's been giving me more trouble and latest is here on Saabnet, started yesterday, regular messages saying there is a script on this page that's making Mozilla (Netscape) run slowly and if it continues it might make computer unresponsive, so I have to opt either to cancel the script or let it run, and I keep cancelling it.

Way too much trouble to bother with, happens on almost every response I click on, sometimes twice per page.

Before that it was a raft of new cookie requests, started a few months ago, that I routinely refuse but they came back in multiple forms, swarms of em.

There are more new cookies since yesterday, too.

I suspect most of the trouble is because I accept NO cookies unless absolutely forced to, then I cancel them asap. I have found some of the crappier web sites I've wandered onto seem to have browser-crashing subroutines they unleash on users like me, that make Netscape crash or spin up my hard drive so I have to unplug my modem to get the computer free.

And also I'm having to force quit out of Netscape and restart it more of the time, it's getting hung up all the time by something on some posts.

I suspect Google of being behind some of this.

My problem is worse because I've never upgraded my OS. I went to install Opera a few months back but found the oldest version I could find still wouldn't work with my OS 10.3 by one update.

So I've gotta find a by now also legacy version of OS 10 that's just a little newer than mine, to still work on my box, or shudders, move to a new computer.

Any suggestions, other than leaving my comfortable stone age behind?
