:) That's what I kind of had hoped to do, Posted by vvack0matic [Email] (#1443) [Profile/Gallery] (more from vvack0matic) on Thu, 28 Jun 2012 14:51:52 In Reply to: Re: Well''.. it runs fine as a non-turbo motor, Justin VanAbrahams [Profile/Gallery] , Thu, 28 Jun 2012 08:26:44 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Make the ugly problem present itself,.. but is it a Cinderella story or what,. here's what happened,
Set off on my road trip jumped on the hwy ever so slowly getting the car up to 75mph, not by choice its becouse the car would only got so fast. held it at 75 and ever once and awhile lean into it just a little to see if there was any boost, an of course not.
After about 50 miles she opened up, wide open full boost all the way to the end of the boost tac. I would like to say it was a smooth but still it was as if I was boosting a un-timed motor, kinda rough. I could feel it in the response the car gave when I was leaning into it, did I bring it to warp speeds, one might ask.... Sure I did bit only after she oped up, and might I add thanks goes out to the police for looking the other way becouse I sure didn't know how fast I was going, just so happens my speedometer wasn't working, but she was running at 4800rpm in 5th I suppose thats just on the edge of warp speed.
So the hole trip to the Indy she was boosting the full boost tac. until I was about 4 blocks away from the shop where again it started with absolutely no boost at this point I was in stop light traffic with a non-turbo. I got to the Indy and a few things were pointed out and when the Indy took it down the road guess what,.. yup everything's fine boosts nice and hard. so whats the deal, knock sensor cutting boost a stuck wast-gate, stuck vacuum advance. Take into consideration this motor wasn't running for at lest 2 to 3 years if not more.
