Much discussion over the years about what makes a 'real' SPG.
I guess a 'real' one had the option package installed at the factory.
In '95 I bought a Malachite Green 900T 5spd with the tan leather/electric sunroof option. I then installed the 'sport suspension' package purchased from the local dealer - SPG springs and shocks. A lttle tweaking of the APC and sans body panels I was driving an SPG. Most '87 SPGs were grey w/grey and seemed quite 'dull' during long cloudy winters in the PNWest.
It now shares time with a '90 Talladega Red SPG, grey leather, running on 16" Aeros and 1" lower springs. My image of 'the' SPG is this combo.
Check out your other for rust and begin swapping parts.
