Did that on my '89 a few years ago.
Also:
- If you have wobbly dash vents it's an ideal time to deal with them. follow the link below.
- If you're feeling especially adventurous, pull the three bulkhead connectors that join the wiring harnesses to the fusebox (driver's side kickpad area) and clean the terminals with tuner cleaner.
- There is a small, oval push-in plug with a rubber seal on the passenger side, where the steering shaft on RHD versions goes through the firewall. Check to see if that has leakage through the seal. On my car, water leakage came in through the bottom of the plug and caused some rust-through in the floor pan. The rubber seal deteriorates from the various underhood oil/PS fluid sprays and exhaust-side heat.
