Rear brake caliper '92 C900 question..... Posted by vsfoxe [Email] (#1025) [Profile/Gallery] (more from vsfoxe) on Mon, 1 Apr 2013 18:18:08 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have one rear brake caliper which has a problem. When I remove the 14mm cap screw to adjust the piston using the 4mm Allen wrench - The Allen will push the piston OUT as I turn it clockwise, but it won't pull it back from the rotor as I turn CCW. Like the return is disconnected? Any way to fix that up so the Allen screw will both push out the piston, and pull it back in? If it cannot be fixed, can I still use the caliper by running the Allen in until it stops the rotor, then unscrewing it 1/4 turn, then pry the piston back to get the slack space? The piston moves easily. Vern
