Found out that reason - when I originally swapped switch it looked like the wires were fine. Then when you told me to ck the green/red wire I noticed that didn't seem very well connected, if at all, to the headlight switch terminal. But,I couldn't tell if I had just pulled too hard to cause it to disconnect. It then was closest to and looked like it belonged on term 3 (30) which is what Bentley had referred to and wire was for some reason in that socket of the connector.
However, when looking at wiring diagram, I noticed it should be on # 58. Term 3 (30)doesn't have a wire connected to it, Bentley just says to ck for power there. That was the problem and thanks to you, Bill S., mystery solved! Hooked it up securely to 58 and now everything back to normal!
Runs like a champ and turning heads again. I can't tell you when I last saw another C900 on the road around Milwaukee - especially a Black 3 door Turbo with SPG wheels and rear louvers (sp?).
I had dash apart late last summer because I had to replace heater control valve (what a PITA that was!) When I put everything back together I must not have had that green/red wire on securely but it lasted a long time before it worked its way off from vibrations and bumps etc. Never gave that repair job a thought since everything had been working fine since then. Now I know for future if ever happens again or on my '92 vert. I kept thinking that it was wiring back in hatch area or ground since I had swapped headlight switch and that didn't fix it. Sure glad it wasn't ignition switch also because I did that on the '92 and that was another PITA job. Thanks again!
