Unless you have the ABS tester, the error codes... that it would produce won't mean anything to you if I told them to you. :-(
It doesn't say how to clean the sensor wheel other than saying pick out any dirt or fibers in the valleys. So a pair or tweezers or perhaps canned air?
You might use an OHM meter to check the continuity of the wiring between the sensor and the plug. Or is that what you are calling checking the resistance?
I suppose it's possible you didn't have a good contact point on the plug end if you're getting bad readings? Although, if you've tried it multiple times and gotten that same result each time that sort of rules that out I guess.
Since it is an EMF distortion that generates the signal between the sensor and the hub cogs, perhaps the issues might be related to not having the fibre washer in place? It does say the operating distance is 0.65mm between the sensor and the cogs, and since that is the washer thickness, perhaps yours are too close and generating a false signal because of it?
Sorry I don't have any more information than what I've already said in the prior post. If you can borrow the tester from someone, and you get the error code numbers (if there are any), I can tell you what those mean if they're in the manual. It's possible the Tech II might do the same as the ABS tester, but that's just a guess.
If you solve the issue, please post a follow-up so we'll all be better informed for the next person!
Mark :-)
