94 comm cv, 94 900s v6, 78 99 ems, and 72 chevy c10 250 ci six. The improvements in syn oil make all these motors ( especially the chevy 6) start much faster, run smoother and it really keeps every thing cleaner. The old chevy is just an old truck with a sludge king motor, looking in the oil filler hole on the valve cover you could see sludge at least an inch thick. On a whim I put mobil one 0-40 in it that I drained out of my 2003 Aero at 4k miles. This used M1 broke down that sludge and after 5 or 6 hours of running time, some at 80 mph, I pulled the plug and out came stuff that looked like road tar. After a couple more similar oil changes the oil stayed cleaner and I removed the valve cover to replace the original (!) gasket. It was fairly clean with very little sludge and you could see how much the syn oil was cleaning things up. No ugly facts here, just beautiful proof.
