Especially if there is almost no rust, you will kill the value of the car by repainting, all the while spending a heck of a lot of money to do it well (and why ruin the car by doing it on the cheap?).
Detail it and sell it as best you can. Let the next guy worry about fixing stuff. Aside from minor things that are easy to DIY, you will never get your money back. An '85 NA is not likely to sell for much anyway unless it is pristine... a neighbour had their 85 na stick listed for months and months at $500, and it was not pristine, but in good shape with a new clutch etc...
